Electric Vehicles
The SwitchBox team has core competencies around EV and Hybrid system design and Supervisory VCU Controls. We can bring the "brain" of the electric vehicle no matter the size and architecture. We have a deep distribution network to help your team pick out the right parts for your EV application and can execute high quality designs based on a scalable set of existing architectures. Let us guide you through your EV development.
Automation
Automation is the future and we are part of the action. SWBX enables autonomous vehicles and sensor data processing in embedded hardware and software. Additionally, our systems design capability allows us to architect the B-kit and enable drive-by-wire capability where needed.
Power Generation
SwitchBox cares about efficiently generating power where it is needed. We have several concepts for hybridizing generators and designs for power dense DC generators using SiC inverters. Additionally, SWBX serves microgrid applications with unique insights with phase balancing and optimizing fuel consumption.
Engine Control
Our team has experience delivering engine control in conventional ICE, turbine, hybrid, and alternative fuel applications. We can design the engine system, write the application software for the engine control, and perform the base calibrations. Additionally, the team has performed full production OBD emissions monitor algorithms and calibration.
Charging and Energy
The charging protocols and standards are quickly evolving and technically complex. SWBX offers state of the art solutions for meeting the newest CCS and NACS protocols with hardware and software stacks that can be integrated into any EV System. We have several DC fast chargers onsite for testing and have built a set of software libraries to help navigate the charging PLC protocol complexities. This software runs on a variety of EVCC / CCU hardware to help your system charge quickly.
Fuel Cells
Hydrogen Fuel Cells can deliver a dense form of energy and enable extended range and zero emissions on vehicle applications. SWBX knows fuel cell system design, thermals, and can provide H2 tank controllers.
