SwitchBox operates a 12,000 sq ft engineering and integration facility in Dexter, Michigan, built to support complex vehicle programs, high-voltage systems, prototype builds, and advanced mobility development.

Our facility gives customers direct access to the engineering, build, test, and integration resources needed to move quickly from concept to functional system. Instead of separating design from execution, our engineers, technicians, and builders work in the same environment, allowing issues to be identified, solved, and validated in real time.

Built for Vehicle Integration

Our facility includes five oversized vehicle and equipment bays designed to support full-vehicle integration, prototype builds, commercial vehicle work, and advanced system installation.

Facility capabilities include:

  • Five oversized vehicle and equipment bays

  • Commercial vehicle lifts

  • Garage and integration space for prototype and low-volume vehicle programs

  • Direct access between engineering, lab, and build areas

  • DC fast charge stations

  • Space to support vehicle-level bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation

Why It Matters

Complex mobility and electrification programs often fail at the handoff between design, build, and integration. SwitchBox reduces that risk by keeping engineering, fabrication, electrical build, software, controls, and vehicle integration tightly connected.

That means customers get faster issue resolution, better system-level thinking, and a more practical path from design intent to working hardware.

Whether the program involves high-voltage power distribution, embedded controls, battery integration, drive-by-wire, DC fast charging, or full vehicle bring-up, our facility is designed to support the hard middle ground between concept and production.
